DVD contains over 330 high res scans of individual photos , plus whole page scans showing the original captions . The album is well captioned with locations and dates .&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-15661144"&gt;&lt;a href="GERMAN-ARMY--GREECE-CRETE-1941.html" class="userlink"&gt;&lt;img src="http://www.throughtheireyes2.co.uk/blog/assets/0_0_0_0_191_181_csupload_34900538.jpg?u=634477703682255000" width="191" height="181" id="post-216550:ctrl-15024074" alt="Gunter pictured centre in a German Kruppe Protze military truck ...Greece 1941" title="Gunter pictured centre in a German Kruppe Protze military truck ...Greece 1941" style="float:right;height:181px;margin:0 0 7px 7px;width:191px;"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;&amp;#160; Gunter is seen throughout the album . The album features some good quality photos of German army vehicles . There are photos of StuG III assault guns / panzers . Columns of trucks on the move . Several very nice photos of Kruppe Protze trucks .&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-15661147"&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&lt;i&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;3 photos feature a US Douglas Dakota transport plane &amp;#160;with German markings ..I believe this plane could have been one of the Dutch KLM planes captured during the invasion of Holland .There are photos of Luftwaffe Ju 52 transport planes Gunter travelled to Crete via one of these planes on 23.5.1941 , during the invasion of the Island, &amp;#160;2 photos were taken within the plane .&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-15661148"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;&amp;#160; Other images include bomb damage to various locations in Greece &amp;amp; Crete , funeral services , Grave sites , Pows , locals going about there daily lives .&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-15661149"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;font size="4"&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The album ends with images of a poorly looking man , Gunter contracted malaria while serving in Crete .&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-15661150"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-15661151"&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-15661152"&gt;&lt;a href="GERMAN-ARMY--GREECE-CRETE-1941.html" class="userlink"&gt;&lt;img src="http://www.throughtheireyes2.co.uk/blog/assets/0_0_0_0_319_210_csupload_34900558.jpg?u=634477703682255000" width="319" height="210" id="post-216550:ctrl-15024091" alt="Gunter and fellow German soldier posing in front of the Acropolis , Greece in 1941" title="Gunter and fellow German soldier posing in front of the Acropolis , Greece in 1941" style="clear:both;display:block;height:210px;margin:0px auto 10px auto;text-align:center;width:319px;"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

The album covers service on the Murmansk front during the winter of 1941-1942 . The album contains many good images of winter gear in use . There are also photos of dead Russian soldiers , Russian POW's , machine gun posts etc . These large float planes were used for dropping torpedos , bombs and magnetic mines . They also had a role in coastal patrol .&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-113516534"&gt;&amp;#160; The photo album contains some good images of He115s , many uniformed photos plus interesting images of the pilots sweetheart ( later wife) and home life ..mainly in Italy where he was stationed in Italy .       <title>Site curently being completely reorganised and updated .</title>
      <description>&lt;table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" id="tabcolumn-1" style="width: 100%; margin-bottom: 15px"&gt;&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;div id="column-1" usermodifiable="true" style="width: 100%"&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11620279"&gt;I have finally found some time&amp;#160;( and enthusiasm) &amp;#160;to give the site a complete , long overdue&amp;#160;reworking &amp;#160;and add much more information&amp;#160;&amp;amp; images .&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11620280"&gt;It will be a long task and&amp;#160;ongoing ...hopefully by the end of October it will be getting close to be much better organised and of greater interest to visitors .&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11620281"&gt;I'm still very much in the learning phase when it comes to all things relating to websites and information technology ....any contructive comments welcome .&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div id="ctrl-11620282"&gt;jim&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
