 I have just finished scanning a new photo album which belonged to a German officer Franz Amberger of 6 Gebirgs division ( mountain troops ) . The album covers service on the Murmansk front during the winter of 1941-1942 . The album contains many good images of winter gear in use . There are also photos of dead Russian soldiers , Russian POW's , machine gun posts etc .
