PHOTOS OF WWII U-BOATS & U-BOAT CREWMEN
Over the last few years I have bought individual photos of U-boats and their crewmen when ebay dealers have broken up the original photo albums . Here I offer a cd containing 86 high resolution scans of these original photos .
The peeing crewman in the above photo is framed and hanging on my toilet wall . Strangely enough its one of my favourite images . I wonder what he would have thought about his image being sent around the world 70 years after the event .
There are photos featuring several different u-boats including U-26 U-142 , U-172 & U390...some very nice conning tower emblem images .
I have also added to this cd 12 photos from a small photo album which shows U-boat surrender at Lisahally , Londonderry Ireland . U-1009 is seen in a few of these images .
Some very nice photos here for the U-boat enthusiast ..they look great enlarged on quality photographic paper to A4.
