Here I offer a DVD containing 518 high resolution scans ( 1200dpi ) . The scans were produced from 4 original photo albums . All the photos were taken by the same amateur photographer / railway enthusiast.
Almost all the photos are captioned with date , location and loco number . The 4 albums are dated 1956-57 , 1957, 1960 , and 1964.
Locations include Aylesbury High street , Banbury , Blair Athol, Bristol ( plenty) , Brockenhurst ( plenty ),Basingstoke ( plenty ) , Crewe , Cheddington , Darlington , Dryburgh , Exeter St.Davids, Cirencester & Kemble ( last day of service line closed following day 5th April 1964),High Wycombe Hitchin, Inverness engine shed ( some lovely photos dated 1957 ) , Ipswich , Maidenhead , Newcastle , Norwich , Nottingham Victoria , Perth , Plymouth ,
